Claytons of Carlton offer Health and Safety Executive recognised training on a range of lift trucks including telescopic handlers, counterbalance and rough terrain forklifts.
All our training is carried out by
Fully Qualified ITSSAR instructors.
Claytons are an ITSSAR Accredited Operator Training Organisation who are an approved accrediting organisation by the Health and Safety Executive.
Training can be delivered here at our premises, where we offer appropriate training aids, manuals, safety codes and protective clothing.
We also offer training at any site of your choice, all we ask is that you provide a suitable area for practical sessions, an appropriate machine or we can provide this, suitable loads and indoor facilities for presenting theory.
There are two elements to each course:
Theory and Practice - The theoretical side of the training is delivered via instructor led DVD’s, presentations and slide shows, training rooms are fully equipped with modern visual aids. Each course has well designed information sheets which are kept by each trainee for future reference.
This is followed by 'hands-on' experience utilising relevant machines using our purpose built outdoor training area. Trainees will learn to drive in a safe yet ‘real life’ environment. Manuals, safety codes and protective clothing are provided.
Successful candidates will be issued with a Certificate which complies with the Health and Safety Executive and Accrediting Bodies Forum 2000 upon completion of all the relevant exams and paperwork.
As an added value service to our customers we can administer all compliance maintaining an operator and instructor database for all delegates who have trained with us. Copies of all certificates, examination papers and end of course reports are provided for employer’s personnel records.
ITSSAR is approved and listed as an accrediting organisation by the Health & Safety Commission (HSC) in the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) for Lift Truck Operator Training. The Standards are relevant, current, and comprehensive and far exceed the Accrediting Bodies Forum 2000.
